K-AN8Specification
K-AN8: technical specifications
Use this guide to check what K-AN8 measures and switches, how it is powered and where its limits are before you plan a rig.
What K-AN8 does
K-AN8 (INF2210) is the analogue and digital module of the K-Series. It measures voltages, currents and PWM signals at the same time and switches loads through its outputs. It sends all its data periodically on the CAN bus, time synchronised with the vehicle network data your logger records.
- Any CAN logger records it, such as a REBEL, a REXGEN or a third-party logger. A DBC file describes the messages.
- Set the CAN bus, sampling rates and calibration in K-CAL. K-AN8 stores them and keeps them when the power is off.
- WakeOnCAN and deep sleep suit quick, unattended installs on fleet test vehicles.
- It stacks with the other K-Series modules. If you need thermocouples in the same module, choose K-BOX, which adds eight thermocouple inputs to the same analogue front end.

Set up K-AN8
K-AN8 uses the shared K-Series setup guides. Follow them in order, from first connection to logging:
- K-Series: connecting and powering modules
- K-Series link cables, termination and terminals
- K-CAL: installing the software and CAN interface drivers
- K-CAL: viewing live data on the oscilloscope
- K-Series: logging module data with REBEL and DIALOG
