One REXGEN Pro

Each box competes for space, power and a connector, and each one needs separate integration. The result is duplicated effort, slower rollouts and a higher total cost of ownership. A Linux application domain and a real-time core, kept separate

This is the part that makes REXGEN Pro a platform rather than a logger. Inside one enclosure are two domains, isolated from each other.

The separation is also a security boundary. The real-time core is walled off from the Linux domain, so an application can never compromise the integrity of the recording.

Configure it, then build on it

Set behaviour through an open configuration in REXDESK or by hand. Filter signals, embed GNSS onto the CAN bus, route between buses as a gateway and request UDS services.

REXLIBRARY, our open source toolkit on GitHub, handles file conversion, so your team builds its own applications and cloud functions on the data. Configuration itself happens in REXDESK or over the air.

How is REXGEN Pro different from REXGEN Air?

REXGEN Air is a connected logger. REXGEN Pro is a platform. Pro adds a quad-core application processor for edge processing, UDS and XCP diagnostics, a hardware secure element with UN R155 compliance, LTE CAT4, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and an optional Ethernet port, in an aluminium enclosure.

Can it run our own software?

Yes. The Linux application domain runs customer applications through SDKs and APIs. The real-time core handles deterministic capture separately.

How does the data reach us?

Over LTE, Wi-Fi or optional Ethernet, to your cloud or enterprise platform. Configuration and firmware update over the air.

Is it secure?

REXGEN Pro is UN R155 compliant. It uses an EdgeLock secure element with secure boot, signed OTA updates, encrypted storage and isolated runtime environments.

Is the CAN bus isolated?

No. CAN isolators are available separately.
