REXGEN ProSpecification
REXGEN Pro: overview and specifications
Find out what REXGEN Pro records, what ships in the box and every specification figure you need to plan an installation.
This series covers REXGEN Pro in five guides: this overview, getting started, Wi-Fi and cloud upload, pinouts and installation, then recording. It is for engineers who install, configure and commission the logger.
What REXGEN Pro is
REXGEN Pro is a data logger with onboard processing and telematics. It records up to four CAN or CAN FD buses, two LIN buses, analogue and digital inputs, GNSS position and a 6-axis IMU. It then sends the data to your cloud over LTE or Wi-Fi.
It is built for production fleets. You configure it with REXDESK or with XML against a published schema. You can also reconfigure it remotely. It is an open platform. Third-party tools can integrate with it, an API manages the logger and retrieves data, and REXLIBRARY converts its log files.
- Up to 4 CAN or CAN FD buses on one timebase, with CAN and J1939 filters.
- 2 LIN buses, master or slave mode.
- 3 analogue inputs and 2 digital inputs, one of them PWM-capable.
- Integrated GNSS receiver and 6-axis IMU.
- LTE Cat 4 and Wi-Fi. Bluetooth hardware is fitted but not enabled yet. Ethernet is optional.
- 32 GB internal storage (eMMC), encrypted.
- Live CAN and CAN FD trace monitoring.
- Export to ASAM MDF4, MATLAB, CSV, ASC, BLF, TRC, RXD and Apache Parquet.
- Sleep modes with low power consumption.
- Eight status LEDs and a JAE compact automotive 34-pin connector.
- Stackable aluminium enclosure, IP65.

Intended use
Use REXGEN Pro to record up to four CAN or CAN FD buses with GNSS and IMU data in production fleets. It connects machines to the cloud over LTE Cat 4 or Wi-Fi and transfers the data to AWS S3.
It is an open platform. Third-party tools can integrate it into your data system, so you build and keep control of your own data pipeline. You can configure and reconfigure it remotely.
Safety and liability
- Only a qualified professional may install, connect and commission the logger, following all applicable safety standards.
- Disconnect the logger completely before you handle it. This includes any output load circuits on an external supply.
- Do not connect the enclosure to an external ground. This bypasses the supply's reverse voltage protection, so a reverse voltage will destroy the supply circuits.
- Fit plugs and any protection caps to every connector to keep the IP65 rating.
- Do not immerse the logger in water or other liquids.
- Do not use the logger without its enclosure.
- Only Influx Technology may repair the logger.
- Keep solvents away from the type label.
- If the logger has a USB port, do not use it for data logging. This can damage the port, and the warranty does not cover that damage.
Influx Technology accepts no liability for damage caused by normal wear, by installation errors or by operating or maintenance faults. This also applies if you modify the logger, its accessories or its software without prior approval from Influx Technology.
REXGEN Pro has a 12-month warranty. For the terms, see our terms of service.
