StreamLog: retired

Updated

STREAMLOG, the fleet management service for REBEL data loggers, has been retired. Recording to the SD card and working with your loggers in DIALOG are not affected.

What STREAMLOG was

STREAMLOG was a central server that REBEL loggers reached over cellular (GPRS) or Wi-Fi connections. Through it, fleet engineers could:

  • Organise projects, engineers, vehicles and loggers in one place
  • Stream a few key parameters from each REBEL and watch them live
  • Upload and download IVD log files
  • Reconfigure loggers remotely
  • Build fleet reports from the collected data

Mobile bandwidth was limited, so engineers streamed only a few key parameters per logger, typically 10 to 15. The logger kept the full log on its SD card. Engineers set up STREAMLOG in DIALOG with a security file and the StreamLog Connection Assistant.

What still works

Everything a REBEL does locally carries on as before:

Some DIALOG and DIALOG Remote windows still show STREAMLOG items. These are the StreamLog tab and menu, the stream rate fields and the STREAMLOG server address on the cellular and Wi-Fi settings tabs. Leave them unused.

Get help

If your REBEL has the Wi-Fi or cellular upgrade and you used it with STREAMLOG, contact technical support. Do the same if you need data that was held on a STREAMLOG server. For anything else about your loggers, get in touch with Influx Technology.
