APPLICATIONS
EV Battery warranty
Requirement: The EV battery must be monitored throughout the life of the vehicle with no message loss. This is the requirement of the battery supplier for vital warranty purposes.
In addition, the device is required to perform a gateway function as defined by the customer. Time and date are set by custom CAN commands.
Our key advantage was reliability with secure eMMC data storage. In this application the customer cannot accept data loss.
Solution: ReXgen Air with LTE/GNSS feature not fitted.
EV off road vehicle conversion
Reliable monitoring is crucial in converting off-road vehicles to EVs, particularly in harsh mining environments. One user of the ReXgen AIR required data recording from four CAN networks and analog temperature sensors, with continuous remote uploads to a central server.
The ReXgen Air with x4 CAN was chosen as the solution, as it supported four CAN buses and featured rugged automotive connectors to ensure reliable performance. Its secure eMMC data storage protected data integrity, making it ideal for the challenging conditions of
mining.
Remote Monitoring of In-Field Generators
Maintaining uninterrupted data recording over a prolonged period is critical for monitoring in-field generators. The requirement mandates continuous data capture without loss over a seven-year duration. Key data parameters and events must be constantly monitored over the air, with the ability to remotely upload data to the customer server on demand for event investigations.
To meet these demanding requirements, the ReXgen Air with 2 CAN buses was ideal. Its robust design ensures uninterrupted data recording over extended periods, guaranteeing the integrity and security of recorded data. Additionally, its secure eMMC data storage facilitates on-demand remote data uploads to the customer server, providing seamless access to critical information for event investigations.
The ReXgen Air not only fulfills the essential monitoring needs of in-field generators but also provides reliability and durability for prolonged operation in diverse field conditions.
Telematics Monitoring with ReXgen Air
The telematics market demands real-time tracking and analysis of vehicle data. The ReXgen Air is a robust solution for such applications, providing seamless data monitoring and analysis from vehicles and allowing remote reconfiguration for flexibility.
In telematics applications, the ReXgen Air captures vehicle data, providing valuable insights into vehicle performance, driver behaviour, and overall fleet management. Remote reconfiguration is essential for adapting to changing requirements and optimizing performance.
Our open-source API, ReXlibrary, allows users to create custom applications that integrate seamlessly with the ReXgen Air and logs transmitted to the AWS S3 bucket. This provides businesses with the flexibility to develop tailored solutions that meet specific needs, enhancing the functionality and usefulness of the ReXgen Air in diverse telematics applications.
