Why use Module Analyser?

Typically CAN network analysis tools require you to use separate applications for automotive functions such as J1939, UDS diagnostics, module reprogramming and CAN monitoring. Module Analyser brings these features together in a single environment.

CAN, LIN and monitoring via DBC & LDF files

Module Analyser gives you the ability to capture, view and monitor CAN, LIN and FlexRay BUS traffic. It can be used to monitor the CAN network bus integrity and for troubleshooting.

Some of the useful CAN monitoring functions are:

Filters can be added to narrow your search

Signals can be imported to the database from the CAN DBC, LIN LDF and FlexRay Fibex file. (Or manually added.)

Data can be viewed on scopes, LEDs and gauges

Messages can be periodically transmitted onto the network by using the message constructor.

CAN and LIN node simulation – record and playback received messages, line-by-line, complete or cyclically. Use filters to define only the required messages and import a previously recorded trace to simulate other network devices.

OBD and UDS Diagnostics

Module Analyser supports ISO15765-1, ISO 15765-2 and ISO14229 diagnostic protocols. It also supports ODX and MDX diagnostic databases. In the basic OBD mode this enables:

EOBD/OBDII data retrieval and analysis and single click reports.

Live monitoring of emissions parameters. This includes data such as engine speed, vehicle speed, engine temperature, manifold pressure, intake air temperature etc.…

Monitor and clear emissions trouble codes (DTCs)

 Read vehicle information

In the extended mode the following advanced functions are also possible:

Monitoring engine parameters from address and parameter identifiers (DIDs)

■ Read and write DIDs

■ Fast data acquisition

Acquire and clear advanced diagnostic trouble codes

 Execute test routines

  • What are the supported data formats?
    CSV, MF4, MAT, ASC, blf
  • CAN we monitor live data?
Yes, options for Live trace are available.
  • Is it possible to have 4 channels CAN FD?
Yes, there are separate products supporting that function.
  • What are the main features available with ReXdesk?
CAN live view, filter, trigger, sleep modes, DBC option.
  • Why is ReXgen not getting interfaced with the RexDesk?
Please ensure that you have installed the driver. If not, you can find it under the Influx technology folder under the start menu
  • What happens if the logger storage gets full?
The logger can continue logging after deleting the first file on a FIFO basis or can stop logging and be configured via ReXdesk, which has the option to format the logger. (FIFO is enabled by default.)
  • Is it possible to interface ReXgen 2 with KBOX?
Yes, It will work with Kbox, but you will need to power the KBox from a separate power source since ReXgen doesn’t have Auxilary Power Out
  • Where can I find the Pinout details for ReXgen 2?
You can find that under the help section in the ReXdesk software
  • Where can I get the Driver installation process?
It is available under the Influx Technology folder in the Start menu. If it is not available there, then please install it from the Influx Technology support page. https://www.influxtechnology.com/support
  • What is the current consumption of ReXgen 2?
<87mA in full operation and <2mA when CAN is not active
  • How to get real-time physical data?
ReXgen doesn't provide real-time physical data, the user will have to retrieve the data log and post-process using a DBC file to view the physical data
  • Where can I find the Pinout details for ReXgen 2 IMU?
You can find that under the help section in the ReXdesk software
  • What is the GNSS accuracy for ReXgen 2 IMU?
    2.5m CEP
  • What is the current consumption of ReXgen 2 IMU?
<87mA in full operation and <2mA when CAN is not active
  • What happens if the logger storage gets full?
The logger can continue logging after deleting the first file on a FIFO basis or can stop logging and be configured via ReXdesk, which has the option to format the logger. (FIFO is enabled by default.)
  • Is it possible to interface ReXgen 2 IMU with KBOX?
Yes, It will work with Kbox, but you will need to power the KBox from a separate power source since ReXgen doesn’t have Auxilary Power Out
  • Are there any other connectors available apart from DB9?
No, But modifications can be done for bulk orders on demand.
  • Where can I get the Driver installation process?
It is available under the Influx Technology folder in the Start menu. If it is not available there, then please install it from the Influx Technology support page. https://www.influxtechnology.com/support
  • How to get real-time physical data
User needs to use the DBC file, and post-collection, it can be exported as CSV
  • Does the ReXgen logger LEDs indicate the status of GNSS logging
No. It is advised to wait 2 Mins before starting your trial, to a minimum number of 4 satellites.
  • Why does it support only DBC?
The logger is only capable of logging CAN signal.
  • Is it possible to see a live trace with ReXgen 2 IMU?
    Yes
  • Where can I find the Pinout details for ReXgen Air?
  • What is the current consuption of ReXgen Air?
<300mA in full operation and <2mA when CAN is not active
  • What happens if the logger storage gets full?
The logger can continue logging after deleting the first file on a FIFO basis or can stop logging and be configured via ReXdesk, which has the option to format the logger. (FIFO is enabled by default.)
  • Can we interface ReXgen with KBOX?
Yes, It will work with Kbox, but you will need to power the KBox from a separate power source since ReXgen doesn’t have Auxilary Power Out
  • Where can I get the Driver installer?
It is available under the Influx Technology folder in the Start menu. If it is not available there, then please install it from the Influx Technology support page. https://www.influxtechnology.com/support
  • How to get real-time physical data?
ReXgen doesn't provide real-time physical data, the user will have to retrieve the data log and post-process using a DBC file to view the physical data
  • Why is my ReXgen AIR not uploading data to FTPS server?
There could be several reasons: 1) Ensure that the SIM card is active and has sufficient data 2) Ensure that the GPRS/LTE antenna is connected to the Logger 3) Check the Server and APN settings of the logger
  • Will I be supplied a SIM card
No SIM card will be supplied. Most standard SIMs are suitable. If in doubt please ask our support team.
  • CAN we monitor live data?
Yes, options for Live trace are available.
  • Why my logger is not getting Detected?
Make sure that the ReXgen Driver is installed on your computer; refer ReXgen Support page for instructions.
  • Why is ReXdesk not opening after installation?
Make sure that Visual C++ Redistributable x64 is installed.
  • Why does exported CSV data have gaps in it?
ReXdesk Doesn’t export data after Interpolation or Resampling; the data is recorded and timestamped as received from the CAN bus. The gaps will be due to the difference in the transmission rate of various CAN messages.
